Kyle Ogren is a composer, music producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. A classically trained pianist, Ogren received a bachelor’s degree in music composition/digital arts from Dartmouth College, and a master’s degree in screen scoring from NYU.
In 2020, Ogren composed the theme music for the Academy Award-winning Motion Picture & Television Fund, and while at NYU he scored two award-winning graduate student films All Four A Reason and Workwear.
In 2021, Ogren worked under Marcelo Zarvos as an additional music composer, orchestrator, synth programmer, pianist, and engineer. He contributed to projects including Ray Donovan: The Movie (dir. by David Hollander), Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers (dir. by Antoine Fuqua), Emancipation (dir. by Antoine Fuqua, starring Will Smith), Flamin’ Hot (dir. by Eva Longoria, coming soon).
In advertising, Ogren has been composing for Search Party Music (founded by Randall Poster, who is known for his work with directors Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese, Todd Phillips, and Sam Mendes) since 2021. Ogren has been called upon to score advertisements for brands including Google, Adidas, Ford, Nissan and more.
As an electronic music producer, Ogren (under the name GRYNN) has been commissioned to remix artists such as The Chainsmokers, The Killers, and Alessia Cara among many more. His music has been released by labels including Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Columbia Records, Def Jam Records, and Astralwerks. Ogren has garnered hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify, and tens of millions of streams.
In 2022, Ogren was one of four composers selected to participate in the ASCAP/Columbia Film Scoring Workshop where he scored an award winning comedy film Strip. Ogren then scored a film with the esteemed AFI (American Film Institute) called Ceremony, and is currently in the midst of two indie projects Special Delivery, and Virginia.
